MISS AKANEMarina Buccella, a.k.a Miss Akane has been listening to electronic music since she was a teen ager. She was influenced by the dark, pop and industrail music and by bands such as The Cure , Cocteau Twins, Siouxie and the Banshees, etc. She got to know very well the electronic scene that was appearing in Argentina. By that time, she used to go to underground clubs, where they played the best house music and techno. By 1999, she realized that she wanted to start her career as a Dj and nowadays she became a great international DJ. She had gigs in diferent countries such as Canada (Montreal, Quebec City), USA (New York, Vermont), Spain (Barcelona), Dominican Republic (Santo Domingo, Las Terrenas, Puerto Plata), Uruaguay (Punta del Este, Montevideo), Peru (Lima)She played with important local djs such as Urban Groove, Diego Ro-k, Diego Cid, Romina Cohn, Dr. Trincado, Juan Pryor, Carlos Diaz, Gonzalo Solimano, Microesfera, Gustavo Lopez, Diego Cid, Oliverio, Aldo Haydar, Club Rayo, J.L Gabin, Inadamix, Luis Callegari, Tommy Jacobs, Dj Caró, Javier Beltrán, JP Pfirter, Violett, Ariana, etc.And with international djs such as Misstress Barbara, Mike Shannon,Cristian Smith, Miss Dinky, Matheo Murphy, Preach, Junior Sanchez, Phillgood, Nuclear Ramject, Pfreud, Ian Cameron, Vincent Letellier, Mini, Tao Nhan, Nivoc, Maus, Eddie Yasmin, Matt Licatta, Andi Gaudi, Io, Bruno Gervais, Little Miss Large, Maysa Lozano, Peakafeller, Drixx, Bib_22, Banging Mark, OS/2, Hybernate, G`Obrien, Mindset, Tobias V, Deadbeat, The Mole, Cristelle, Pfreud, Cartelbeat, Froggy, Hyper, The Cofeeman, Indica, etc.She started playing at underground clubs such as El Dorado, Ave Porco where the best music sounded in those days ; there she began her career. She played at important gigs in Buenos Aires and she participated in the first rave that was made in the province of Neuquen at Patagonia. Nowadays she plays at important clubs where famous international and national djs are booked (Crobar, Big One ,Middawn, Mao Room, Bahrein, Opera Bay, Caix, etc)After finishig her career as a Producer and Director of Radio and Tv she totally focused herself in music . She decided to travel and started her international career. Her first step was NYC, where she got to know Miss Dinky and got her first gig in at Drinkland, the very well known bar at East Village. After that, she travelled to Montreal, Canada where she stayed for almost 2 years. She met very well known dj s and producers and she really appreciated the music scene of that city. She had gigs with djs and producers that participate in the important festival MUTEK, such as Mike Shannon, Matheo Murphy, Maus, Deadbeat, Vincent Letellier, Mini, and in clubs and important events of Montreal (Illume, SAT, Laika, etc.) ) and in big raves in Quebec City. After living in Montreal, she decided to travel to Europe, to Barcelona city. She got gigs in important techno clubs such as CUBE CLUB where well known techno djs used to play , such as Marco Carola, Valentino Kanzyany, Umek, Gaetano Parisio, Paco Osuna, Oscar Mulero, Mark Broom, etc. She also played at City Hall club, at the Rambla and in various after ours such a White Room. After this long trip, she returned to Argentina and now she resides there . At the beginnig of 2003 ,she realized that she needed something more, so she started to produce her own music. “The tracks i produce go from experimental music to minimal, deep and electro techno and techhouse. Detroit and German sounds are my influence.” She specializes in mixing diferent styles of techno, techhouse, creating different climates, she grooves a lot and transmits a lot of energy in her sets.
