About Me
First things first, my name is Josh Cross, I'm in my Junior year at Portland Bible College and I enjoy eating, sleeping, cold rooms, hangin' with my dorm mates, kiwi, throwing things at people, twix, and chewable vitamin C. I also love puppies, and chocolate milk.I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God - that He was beaten, crucified, buried and three days later rose from the grave to conquer the power of sin and death. "Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life." (1 Timothy 1:15-16) I recognize that God's love is abundant even when I'm the one to blame, understanding that without Him I'm filthy - that because of my sinful nature, whether I've grown up in the church or not, I'm in need of a savior and that I, through my own efforts cannot place myself in right-standing with God, but only by the covenant blood of Jesus Christ shed not because of my own merits, or withheld from me because of my mistakes – but given to me freely out of the Father's compassion and grace. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39)With each passing day, I have the chance to experience the depths of love, mercy, and peace found in my relationship with Jesus Christ... I'm realizing more and more how faithful a friend He truly is - that no man, woman or anything on this earth for that matter, can amount to the depth of the love shared between a Savior and His redeemed... You know something? We are such a knowledge based, scientific, and philosophical world caught up in the idea of relativity and because of that, the idea of believing in something that often contradicts the concepts of our natural minds seems crazy and narrow-minded... but once you experience the true love of God, all the knowledge based, scientific and philosophical ideas of this world seem crazy and narrow-minded...
"When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins." Isaiah 53:11
