Robert Nesta Marley. Born in Jamaica in 1945. Jamaican singer, guitarist, songwriter and Rastafarian prophet. His songs expressed his experiences of struggles of everyday life in Jamaica in a way that all could relate to, making his music universally loved. Died in Flordia in 1981.
