Drama free zone. Woo hoo ! May all who pass this way have a blast !!

About Me

I'm a pretty easy to get along with guy. I can speak in complete sentences, and I think I have a fun sense of humor. I do audio engineering, lighting design, and video production for national bands. I went to Purdue for Electrical Engineering, and somehow landed in the entertainment biz. So here I am, looking for intelligent and interesting people to hang with. Drop me a line if you're looking for a new friend or somebody to hang out with.

Disclaimer: If you're a friend collector and have more than 300 friends, I won't add you. If you have only one pic or a link to your web cam or photo site, I won't add you. If you become a bulletin whore, I will delete you. If you become any of these things after misleading me, I will delete and block you. Is that clear enough?

My two loves are chocolate and music. I like good food, and good company (and Andes mints). I'm 36 going on 26 (in the lots of spontaneous energy way, not the immature way). I work between Indianapolis, Evansville, and Nashville. That's been enough to keep me reasonably busy.

Music - I play bass, keyboards, and guitar. Bass is my main instrument, tho I've played keys longer. I enjoy composing my own music and learning new material as well. Lately I've started my own music site and I make silly personalized songs and band intros for people's myspace sites. They're cheesy and entertaining on purpose so don't judge my talent on it. Here's the link if you wanna check it out.

Work - Music again - As I said, I work in the entertainment world - mostly audio engineering and lighting for major touring acts and television. I have clients in Evansville as well as Indianapolis.

I love my gear (toys?). My bass rig is Ampeg and Tobias-5 thru a tube preamp with digital effects. It's punchy, tight, and very clean. My keyboard rig is Roland, Alesis, and FINALLY YAMAHA!! Got me a MOTIF XS. It's Sue Wheat! I have a Millenium Edition, American Designer Deluxe Strat that just flat smokes. My acoustic sees most of its action when I'm knockin' around the house and just need to play somethin'. Music is pretty much everything: life, bread and butter, fun, and entertainment.

If you're lucky enough to have me as a friend in the real world, you must be an amazing person. I'm very picky about my friends. Not snobby - My friends are just quality. Y'know? My idea of a friend is somebody who will pick you up when your car breaks down 2 hours away, and you don't feel guilty about calling them.

I pimped my own damn profile cause I gots ta keep mah pimp hand strong !!

My Interests

Umm.... OK - These guys are weird, but I like 'em. Check it out.

I love playin' some funk slappin' bass !! This is Mark King from Level 42. One of my favorites. All I can say is damn... I wish I could play this clean, and this fast. Check out the other videos from the menu too...

OK - besides music and stage... I enjoy cooking, quality time, sleep, intelligent company, and good luvin'.

I'd like to meet:

If you'd like to meet me, then just send me an e-mail. I'm interested in meeting whoever. I provide professional tour support as well as system design, live engineering, and user training.

Music:

I used to be a fulltime CD mastering engineer (glad that's over) - which meant I listened to final studio mixes about to become CDs - all day, every day. You would be amazed at the absolute shit people will proudly publish on a CD. It got to the point where I didn't care what I was listening to, as long as it was well recorded and had some actual talent involved.I have such a huge variety in the types of music I like. Jazz, Blues, Rock... Steely Dan, Sting, Stevie Wonder, Stanley Clarke, Michael Hedges, Gretchen Lieberum, Leo Kottke, Kem, Tower Of Power. See - crazy variety. Maybe that's why I love my iPod and hate radio.

Movies:

Groundhog Day, Fletch, Pulp Fiction, Snatch, Office Space, Dumb and Dumber, Bad Santa, Monty Python - Search For The Holy Grail, Good Will Hunting, Fight Club, The Bourne Identity.

Television:

Burn Notice, Shark, Damages, Las Vegas, Scrubs, House.

Books:

In my line of work I read more tech crap than anything else. Gotta stay up to date in this industry. Besides that, I like to read about martial arts and related studies. I have a black belt in Kenpo and a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. My two favorite books along that line are "A Book of Five Rings", and "The Art of War". Great strategy books which relate to life, business, and many other things.

Heroes:

Michael Hedges (acoustic guitarist). Michael died tragically but his music lives on... Makes me wonder if any of mine will. Hmmmm.
