About Me

I have always loved music, there's always been music in my family my graddad could play the piano by ear, he would have been better using his fingers but you can't tell men anything. Two of my great aunt's were a musical hall operatic duo.THE TWO JOAN'S.My great uncle Byatt earned a living from his piano playing and Bartone voice in pubs and clubs. My Mum was classically trained pianist and played the odd Concert as such.My Dad a Drummer who played in both a military band and The Steel Drum Band 'The Synicopaters.'So it was no suprise that I sang and danced before i could walk almost. At age 8 I won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music.I have performed in musical theatre, including productions of Bugsy Malone,Grease The sound of music and Annie. And went on to play in several rock bands, during my what I think of as a well spent youth.Bands include; The family group; Pieces, Alka seltzer, UXB, Charity. Corperation Street, Msbehave, Jazfuzunk, Doomtown, MDOW, Inca Dream & . I am an acclaimed song writer.well if I don't say it no one else will..Well One guy did but then he's a real sweetheart. At one time I balanced being in five different bands all very different in style, unfortunatly I am a little disorganized in my life, which resulted in myself and boyfriend Jabba (his surname was Hutt.) with whom I was in an acid jazz band.Turning up for a gig.at the right time and place but for the heavy metal band I was in.And he wasn't(.He played Sax) I think they missed out big time.It would have given us an edge! They had the cheek to sack me!!I thought my folk guitar solo was the hi-light of Smoke on the water. I have also played in Macbeth.the lady no less. and I continue to work in the Arts.I currently have an iron in the fire, and a project in the pipline. My poetry/Lyrics have been published worldwide, winning great acclaim in the US of A. I am proud to say that "Making Music" has become my passion again. I have to thank JRM for that. But most of all outside of my family.....star's the lot of them. I have to thank my IMOM..for his continuance, for holding me together and lighting up my darkest place in ways he'll never know.I LOST MUSIC FOR TWO AND HALF YEARS .AFTER LOSING MY DAD. I DIDN'T EVEN TOUCH A GUITAR IN ALL THAT TIME. WHICH GIVEN THAT I GOT MY 1ST PROPER GUITAR, WHEN I WAS THREE. & I HAD PLAYED EVERYDAY FROM THEN ON.I HOPE YOU CAN UNDERSTAND THAT I HAD TO FIGHT AND WORK REALLY HARD TO GET 'IT' BACK IN MY LIFE IT HAS BEEN A MASSIVE UNDERTAKING, BUT I HAVE DONE IT MUCH TO THE SORROW OF YOUR EARS I KNOW. YOU KNOW THE KID & EVEN JRM PUT IT BETTER.....LOOK UP NOT DOWN.TAKE TO MANY PHOTOGRAPHS AND LAUGH LOADS. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME...........PITY IT'S NOT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS.
