About Me

I hail from the cozy metropolis of Albany, Ga., where I was raised by a church-going, musical family. I started playing bass at 10 and alto saxophone at 12. After graduating from Albany State University with a BA in Music (Saxophone Performance) and a brief stint of teaching middle school chorus, I moved to Atlanta. Since my arrival, I've been fortunate enough to play with the likes of India.Arie, T.I., Bobby Valentino, Julie Dexter, Governor, Steph Jones, Joi, Russell Gunn, Bernard Perdie, Sonny Emory, Ike Stubblefield, Lil' John Roberts, Ede Wright, and Tony Royster, among others. Besides gigging, I've recently ventured into the realm of writing and producing, so be on the lookout! I'm featured on tracks with the likes of T.I, Wyclef Jean, Nelly, Young Joc, R. Kelly, and Walter Beasley. I'm available for local, regional, national, and international clinics, studio work, gigs, and touring. I also serve as Musical Director in various situations and help form bands for both established artists as well artist on the come-up. Be blessed. India.Arie in Anaheim...Joel on bass
