The band "Mindway" has been playing on the Czech and International music scene since 2003. From the beginning, the band insisted on a high level of songwriting and musicianship.
"Mindway" are MX*Mike (vocals), Jerzy (bass), K. (guitars) and Petryik (drums).
In September 2003, "Mindway" started to write their own songs and in December 2003 they recorded their first three-song EP titled "Rulez". During 2004, the "Rulez" CD was enhanced with a multimedia track, which included two videos ("Place 4 Truce" and "Reality" - live at Woodstock, Poland), as well as photos, etc.
The bands shows demonstrate a perfect combination of high energy, live instruments and samples in an original mix of music styles. Mindway's songs consist of emo-rock, electro, world music and alternative, with alternative-metal as the foundation. Mindway's music is coming from the same mold as bands like "Faith No More", "Korn" and "Placebo" with a super-structure of electro music inspired by bands like "Depeche Mode", "Prodigy" and "Asian Dub Foundation". Mindway usually ends their original shows with a special live video projection.
Mindway plays at clubs and festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad too. They were invited to most of the biggest Czech festivals (e.g. "Noc Plna Hvezd" (Star-filled Night), "Trutnov Open Air", "Benatska Noc", "Sazavafest", "Nokia Strahov Open Air", etc.). They were also invited to one of the biggest European festivals "Przystanek Woodstock 2004" in Poland (about 300.000 visitors), where the "Reality" video was shot. In August 2004, Mindway was chosen as the best band of "Rockpreis Festival" in Annaberg, Germany. "Dinxpop Festival" (Netherlands, April 2005) and "Summer Open Air" (Germany, 2006) asked Mindway to be one of headliners.
In late 2004, Mindway recorded their second three-song EP "Back On Feet". In February 2005, the band released their promo DVD "Rulez" which includes photos, videos and an interview in English.
Mindway have also succeeded abroad with their recordings. Their song, "Place 4 Truce", appeared on "One Giant Step" - a British compilation of the best new alternative bands from all over the world (Matchbox Recordings LTD., UK, 2004). Mindways song "Back On Feet" appeared on another British compilation "Now That's What I Call Underground Vol. 3" (Nova Bomb Records / Dysfunctional, 2006). Mindways songs have received airplay on Czech and foreign alternative/rock radio stations.
On November 13th, 2006, Mindway released their latest EP "Replay". It consists of new material which marks the new way of Mindway music.
