KPWR is an urban web-based radio project, providing a safe and accessible space for local under represented members of the community. We strive to use web radio as a form of media expression that helps to empower each other by providing a forum for grassroots community programming, focusing on issues of local interest to teach, learn, and inform our listeners and contributors while sharing this experience with the global community.
KPWR aims to be a dynamic group centered upon non-hierarchical power sharing. We are committed to the fight against global capitalism, as well as, but not limited to, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, militarism, and imperialism.
