The United States Adventure Racing League (USARL) will be the first professional co-ed sport in the world which will be dedicated to providing an eco-friendly sporting atmosphere to fans and spectators from all over the country broadcasted television and internet.What is Adventure Racing? Adventure Racing is a 25 year-old sport which combines many different distance sports into a single team race. Sprint races range from two to 12 hours with a distance of 10 to 50 miles. Medium length races range from 18 to 36 hours with a distance of 50 to 150 miles. Expedition length races range from three to 10 days with a distance of 200 to 500 miles. The expedition length races have worldwide interest and acclaim.In 2010, for the first season of the USARL, there will be twelve teams and twelve races. The league will hold six 24 hour races, four 48 hour races, one 72 hour race, and an expedition length race. All teams will compete in all races for the season while collecting points for the top team spot at the end of the season. By 2012, the league will expand to include twelve additional expansion teams.Adventure Racing TV (ARTV) in association with Remote Broadcasts Inc. (RBI) and a sports cable and satellite station will act as the Primary Broadcast Partners by providing live coverage of all adventure races in the USARL series. Coverage of this dynamic sport via television and internet will expose our sponsors’ products and services to the largest Adventure Racing and sporting community in the United States.
