About Me

Hello, people in computer land! I'm from L.A. and am living in London now for the past couple of years! Started singing when I was just a minute old (oh, no, that was crying, sorry - ha ha) Grew up listening to the best soul, funk and r&b and am now going back and listening to Stevie, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Khan, Maze, Commodores, Otis Redding, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Aretha and nem and saying, " Wow! How incredible!! Still grooving, timeless, quality songwriting and singing" and I want to write those kind of songs too!!!I love everything from Sade to Sting to Antonio Carlos Jobim and Djavan; from The Kaiser Chiefs to Chamillionaire!!!! ha ha!!! I love good songs and admire good song writers!!!Guess it's time to list all the "what you've done"s and the "who you've played with"s so here goes:I sang in an incredible band called Weapon of Choice for about 10 years! Incredible Funk/Rock music! Also co-wrote a lot of incredible songs with my boy Mark Cross, we formed a band called Optic Nerve, amazing stuff!! Sang with various artists over the years including The Dakah Hip Hop Orchestra, Soul of John Black, Arik Marshall, Macy Gray and PlantLife, in the U.S. and LooseEnds, Don E., Maxim (of The Prodigy), Focused Few and Foreign Beggars (2 incredible hip hop bands!!) here in the UK. I've done a lot of great session work with my girl Fanny Franklin (love you Fan!), we sang on Scenario Rock's album which is wicked and did vocals on John Densmore's (of The Doors) "Tribal Jazz Project", backed up Snoop Dogg on the Jay Leno Show, toured the world with Macy and PlantLife and it's been an all around lovely thing!I've had the privilege to know and to work with the best musicians and songwriters - Lonnie Marshall, Arik Marshall,Mark Cross, Fanny Franklin, Marina Bambino, Macy Gray, Keefus Ciancia, Adrian Harpham, Wade 3, John Black, and the list goes on and on!!! And now I'm writing a lot of music of all different genres and recording on my computer here in lovely Londontown!Oh, to be able to do music, good music and nothing but the music for a living is the dream, right? Let's keep dreaming it until it becomes real and then we can dream up something even more betta like...world peace or something!! : ) Yeah! Love to everyone, happiness to all who choose it and joy to all those who can stand it!!!!! : ) Music...in-JOY it! whateverlife.com
