Hey hey! Name's Matthew but all my mates call me Ernie, which I think I'd prefer you call me as I've been called by that nickname for about 7 years now, lol.
Well, I'm a pretty nice guy I woulda said, I love my friends and family and I enjoy spending time with both. I'm usually a pretty serious guy, but I do like to joke and mess around, and when I'm drunk its a completely different story!
I love people who are honest and sincere, funny and talkative, with a serious side too as I love a good debate! Although, I hate narrow-minded people, liars and hypocrites, I dont take shit and I cant back down from aggression, whether thats a bad thing or not I cant decide lol. But I'm nice if you're nice hahaha.
I like to think of myself as a wise person, I'm able to see things from different perspectives and as such it often stops me arguing with people as I can already see things their way lol. I'm a good listener, I can listen to people's rants forever, and I love to give advice and end it with a big hug!. I am extremely brutally honest when it comes to giving advice or helping someone, I dont see the point in lying to make someone feel better when you can be honest, even if it hurts.
I'm really really paranoid and obssessive about stuff, but I keep all my wacko theories and obssessions to myself and dont bore or freak out anyone else with them, lol.
My thoughts on:
Love
Complex subject, I'll try to be brief, hehehe, basically, I'm not one of those "love at first sight" believers, to me thats just bullcrap, there's only lust at first sight, anyone who disagrees is just ashamed of their own sexuality. I do believe in such a thing as love, but not exactly the storybook kind, I believe love can bloom anywhere at any time, but to love someone and realise it takes time, trust and respect must be built first.
Religion
Anyone who knows me personally will know this, but for the uninitiated, here's the scoop on my thoughts. Monotheistic/polytheistic religions involving worship of or relating to "supreme/perfect beings" are bullcrap, the very notion of an all-loving/all-powerful/all-knowing being makes me sick to my stomach, realising there are people in this world who can believe such a thing are ignorant, naive and foolish. Religion serves to castrate the human race and make us deny our own natural instincts and needs, and turn us into obedient servants of a false ideal. End of.
