GOLDEN COMPASS
i thought that this movie was really good!!! the special effects are amazing and the story line is GREAT! this movie has had a lot of controversy on how it goes against the bible, all i have to say is that they're just trying to start a fight!!! definitely a recommendation especially for fans of CHRONICLES OF NARNIA.
I AM LEGEND
i jumped a couple of times during this movie, but to be quite honest, this movie stunk. the ending puts the cherry on top and made it TERRIBLE. great job on the zombies, but besides that, there's nothing great about it. it's a movie about a guy running around for 1 hour and a half trying to live with his dog. i'd have to say pass on this one.
ENCHANTED
i'm a HUGE fan of disney, and i thought that this movie is an expected disney movie. same happy ending, evil villain, all that good stuff. don't get me wrong, i LOVED the movie and i thought that the leading actress did an amazing job acting as a princess in a lost world. i definitely recommend this movie and hope that the golden globe does go to the leading actress of this movie.
NATIONAL TREASURE 2: BOOK OF SECRETS
i was a HUGE fan of the first film and knew that the sequel would come anywhere close to the first. well, i was WRONG! this movie was really good, not as good as the first, but not terrible bad as the first. same cast, new person trying to steal the treasure, unbelievable story line, the just of it. i would recommend this one!
ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS
ADORABLE!!! i was not expecting this movie to be good, but after my friends telling me it was great, i decided to finally see it. they were right, this movie is funny and cute! i wouldn't necessarily say it was worth 7 bucks, but it's a must-see movie. just wait until you're able to rent it.
THE GREAT DEBATORS
EXCELLENT!! you have to love denzel washington movies. based on the true story of the debate team in texas in the 1930's, this movie does a great job showing how hard they worked to change history. it did drag a little bit, but i say, and i don't say this often, two thumbs way up for this movie!
