Skiing, snowboarding, basketball, swimming, ping-pong, pool, music (listening, not creating), traveling, movies, video games (I refuse to grow up), dating, drinking (in moderation of course), driving fast, sushi, reading, poker and finally, life :D.
After having watched Dave Chappelle's Block Party, I think I would like nothing more than to kick it with him sometime. But in general, I like warm, funny, laid-back people. So if you're that type of person, I want to meet you!
I've recently gotten into a lot of classic rock and all of a sudden contemporary rock isn't sounding so good. I've also been known to enjoy the ocassional trance track, or even hip-hop (namely Kanye West and Eminem). Some of my favorite bands include Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Green Day, Guns N' Roses, The Strokes, Interpol, Goldfinger, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Rush, The Clash, The New Pornographers, The Gorillaz (based on the strength of Demon Days), Franz Ferdinand, Audioslave, Weezer, Muse, The Who, White Stripes and Arcade Fire.
I like a wide range of movies; anything from old black and white classics like The Third Man to romantic comedies like Shakespeare in Love. Some of my favorites include L.A. Confidential, Shindler's List, Casablanca, The Shawshank Redemption, Psycho, Good Will Hunting, Shakespeare in Love, Saving Private Ryan. 12 Angry Men, On the Waterfront, Talk to Her, The Devil's Backbone, Run Lola Run, Ran, A Clockwork Orange, Raise the Red Lantern, Groundhog Day, Dead Man Walking, Memento, American Beauty, Almost Famous, Insomnia, Road to Perdition, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I don't like a whole lotta network shows these days; however FX is consistently putting out top-notch dramas, so I've been watching a lot of their shows. Some shows I currently watch include Nip/Tuck, Rescue Me, Lost, 24, The Shield, Monk, The Wire, Friday Night Lights, Deadwood, My Name is Earl and The Office. Some of my favorites from the past were Seinfeld, The Sopranos, Friends (approx. seasons 1-5), Simpsons (approx. seasons 1-7), The Practice, The Office (UK), Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City, Alias (seasons 1 & 2) and Survivor. I also really like some of the stand-up acts on comedy central.
I don't read nearly as much as I would like, but there have been a few books I've greatly enjoyed. Some of my faves are 1984, Animal Farm, Devil's Tear Drop, The Blue Nowhere, Harry Potter (and I have no shame in admitting it), The Da Vinci Code, Catcher in the Rye, Sphere, Ender's Game, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Lord of the Flies.
Anyone who has made a significant impact on the way our culture has been shaped. Some examples would be Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln and Albert Einstein.
