About Me

..
Anchors away! So what do you think of my little vessel? She's what we call see-worthy. S-E-E, see with your eyes. I feel like my transport should be an extension of my personality. Voila. And this, this is like my little window to the world and every minute's a different show. Now, I may not understand it, I may not necessarily agree with it, but I'll tell you what, I accept it, just sort of glide along. You want to keep things on an even keel, I guess it's what I'm saying, you want to go with the flow. The sea refuses no river. The idea is to remain in a state of constant departure while always arriving. Saves on introductions and good byes. The ride does not require an explanation, just occupants, that's where you guys come in. It's like you come onto this planet with a crayon box. Now you may get the eight pack, you may get the sixteen pack, but it's all in what you do with the crayons, the colors that you're given. And don't worry about drawing within the lines or coloring outside the lines, I say color outside the lines, you know what I mean? Color right off the page. Don't box me in. We're in motion to the ocean. We are not landlocked, I'll tell you that. So, where do you want out?"

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I don't much see the point of friending people who can't take the time to even send me a message, so don't bother.

My Blog

I CHANGED MY EMAIL ADDRESS

I've tried to do this with my previous email, but Myway has changed its format. I can't find a damn thing and every function takes a decade to load. I can tell Myspace is doing the screaming thing ag...

Roasted Brussel Sprouts

Yes, brussel sprouts. I know you hate them. The only way you have them is out of a freezerbag full of sprouts and butter and they are horifically overerooked and slimy. You can...

Weddings, weddings and more weddings (what did you think?!))

I had such a great time in Austin! All of my friends have either eloped or had such small ceremonies that I wasn’t invited, so this was the first time I ever got to go to a friend’s ...

I'd like some cheese with this whine, if you please...

I so hate my blogs now. I so hate that I am saying "so hate." I've gotten very shallow in the last couple of years, and only the tiniest gossamar bits are holding on: Like I hate tel...

Obviously, by Daniel Handler (the rest of the story)

"What movie were you in?" I asked. Yeah. The guy sighed. "That one with all of those skinny women kicking things," he said. "You know, Kickass." "The Movie," I said, and I said it ...

"Obviously" by Daniel Handler Part 2

Here I was maybe forty minutes ago, sort of claustrophobed in the gap between the kickass movie world where Lila dumps the guy with the smarmy mustache and the obvious one where it just keeps getting ...

"Obvious" by Daniel Handler(AKA Lemony Snickett) Part 1

The movie was kickass, which was appropriate, because tonight it was called Kickass: The Movie. It was a sort of action-adventure thing starring two women and one man, and another man who was th...

The Feast of Love

I am a bookslut, as most people know. It should come as little or no surprise that I held J captive in Borders for several of my sleepy and non-working hours yesterday. I love Borders.&nbs...

Excerpt from White Oleander

I read this book in three days, but to be fair to the book, I worked two of those days and the other (the day off; they are snatched from me so fast) I slept IN and then had maybe an hour and a half t...

Recipe: Broccoli Cheese Casserole

This has been a big hit with everyone who's tried it, or maybe they were just so polite that I would think it so: Broccoli Cheese Casserole 2 cups basmati rice 1 package frozen broccoli (though fresh...
