1)My birthplace Addis Ababa, Ethiopia…it means "new flower" in Amharic... the Capital of Africa …I spent my childhood and early teenage years freely roaming this rich vibrant city…usually getting in trouble…It has been 16 years since I left Ethiopia …I can’t wait until I return…2) Like Father, Like Son…Dad, “RIP!”3)My little sister and I stylin’ ..she’s not little anymore…finishing up her 2nd year of Medical school in Chi town…Selam, “I’m proud of you!”…4) Shortly after this picture was taken, my mother moved to the U.S…2 years later, my sister and I moved to Oakland, CA to join her…Mom, “Thanks for all the sacrifices!”......5)Bay Area….home of too $hort and the current hyphie movement…..I am not going to lie, I got my ass kicked a couple of times in high school but I love this town…where else in the world can you listen to world famous Jazz musicians at a Japanese restaurant? or Walk next to the naked man on telegraph in Berkeley? Or take BART to SF and enjoy the best city in the world?6) UCLA…great memories, great friends...best experience so far!!!7) Sunrise in Palms…took this picture from my balcony facing Venice Blvd…just another beautiful day in Southern California on this amazing journey called LIFE!
