About Me

Ok.... so it's been a while since I've updated the page, so I'll start with a quick update. I'm no longer modeling, DJing, or running a business. I'm slowing down a lot so that I can maintain my sanity and take better care of my responsibilities at home. Now I'm a senior at the University of Michigan working on a dual degree in Spanish and Psychology, and I'm working as a banquet bartender/cocktail chef. My job is to make the classiest cocktails possible for the hottest events I can find, as well as to help people serve large groups of people even larger quantities of alcohol without spending too much money. I'm working hard to bring back classic cocktails and underrated ingredients, while constantly incorporating fresh new liquors as they become available. I'm going to try to keep on updating my blog at least weekly with whatever I'm into. Whether it's something new I ran into at the bar, or one of my own creations.

My Interests

Fine cigars, half-assed cooking, cream liqueurs, witty toasts and cocktail banter, interesting anecdotes, curious gizmoes, combat sports, antique stuff, teaching, learning as much as possible about everybody else's major, whatever my little brothers are doing at any given moment, helping Mosca try to fix things, trying to keep my apartment clean enough to where Em doesn't yell at me...

I'd like to meet:

I'm not too picky about who I associate with... Every story I run into is one more to tell behind the rail, no? I'd love to talk shop with some fellow bartenders, or talk life with most anybody else. I also greatly appreciate when people take the time to try my featured cocktails and give me their feedback.

Music:

we'll get back to you on that one...I like Wisin y Yandel a lot recently, and old-school country music...but it's normally hip-hop and R&B...

Movies:

Any Which Way But Lose, Top Gun, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, L'ultimo cappodanno d'humanita, los diarios de motorcicleta.

Television:

Whatever's on HD! It's usually something educational, which is a lot cooler than you'd think. I watch U of M football when the games are away, and Comedy Central every so often.

RAW- the Random Alcohol Workshop- Part 1

Would you hire a cook that doesn't know what garlic tastes like? How about a mechanic that can't identify a pickle fork? In any business, you have to know what you're working with, and you'll nev...

First Weeks Drink

So here it is... my first drink posting. This one I modified from Julien Escot's recipe for his "Casse Noisette", which won a huge contest in London. I've always added a bit of Frangelico to my black ...
