About Me

A Condensed History:I no longer live in Great Falls, Montana ... which could be called "Not-So-Great-Falls", but for a moment - it was home. The people there were nice, the cost of living low, and there was rarely any crime - at least nothing much more serious than a cow jumping a fence at the slaughtering house and wreaking havoc on the town. Once again, I've come back to my true home - the place that I consider myself to be from - Oregon. And though I did go to high school in Reedsport, I am from Eugene. It's the tree-huggin'-hippie love of my life! So, I grew up in Reedsport - I did all the cool clubs (wink wink) - Campfire Girls, Key Club, FBLA, Spelling Bee (haha), Golf Team, Young Life (went to Malibu, Beyond Malibu, Woodleaf, Twin Rocks Fall Camp, was a junior leader, and did Work Crew at Woodleaf in 1994), Mat Maids (if you did this, too - or you were a wrestler, then you know what it is - if not, don't ask), and I was a nerd in The Band. Oh yeah - Pep Band, Concert Band, and even the Wind Ensemble that accompanied Mr. Graber's choir people from time to time. No ... we did not have BAND CAMP ... but we did take a lot of road trips! Moving on to Eugene, I went to college and learned to fly airplanes. I was also a Young Life leader there and even lived in the Young Life house (went back to Woodleaf twice - and it's way more fun as a leader). Two years later, I gave up the dream of being a pilot, but discovered life in the airline industry has many other facets ... and the rest has been a whirlwind of names and places. Eugene, OR ... Seattle, WA ... Portland, OR ... Tallahassee, FL ... Burlington, VT ... Bend, OR ... Los Angeles, CA ... Eugene, OR (AGAIN) ... Cairo, Egypt ... Bozeman, MT ... Great Falls, MT ... Jackson, WY ... Eugene, OR (LAST TIME???) And it's here that I stopped for a breath of air ... but my life rarely has any downtime! I was home again for less than six months before embarking on the greatest adventure yet - having a baby. Cecil Thomas Daley, II joined me on the journey of life on August 17th, 2009. I hope he finds it as interesting and exciting as I do!.. .. ..

BUSTED!

So there I was ...  At least I think that's how stories like these are supposed to begin.  But seriously, Wednesday afternoon (4th of July), it was HOT here in Jackson.  I finished work...

A Change of Scenery Doesn't Makeover Your Heart

Coasts and Beaches

It's hard to believe that you can miss something so much, when you didn't realize that you missed it at all.  But that is exactly what I found myself doing while I stood on the rocks and wat...
