About Me
After eight years in New England, composer Jonathan Hart Price has relocated to Nashville. He hopes to lend his talents to other successful and innovative artists throughout the southeast, who share his commitment to producing world-class arts events inspired by real and pressing sociopolitical issues.In 1998, Jonathan moved from Charleston, West Virginia to Boston to attend the Berklee College of Music. While at Berklee, Jonathan earned a reputation as an innovative and sophisticated composer. His work has been featured at the Regattabar Spring Jazz Festival, the Institute for Contemporary Art, Boston Center for the Arts, Berklee Performance Center, and in Los Angeles at Steamer's and the Jazz Bakery. He has had works premiered through student and faculty events at Bridgewater State College, Dartmouth University, Harvard University, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.His work has been featured on Jazz with Eric in the evening on WGBH 89.7 FM, hosted by Eric Jackson, as well as “Here And Nowâ€, on National Public Radio; and in such publications as the Boston Globe, Boston Herald, Improper Bostonian, Boston Magazine, and ArtsBoston, among others.Jonathan attained a dual Bachelor of Music in Film Scoring and Jazz Composition, graduating Cum Laude, in 2003. Since then, he has been intimately involved with some of the most exciting and challenging cultural events in Boston and across the country. He is Founding Artistic Director of Modern Art Movement: The Boston School, Inc., a successful nonprofit 501(c)(3) arts production agency in Boston. He relocated to Nashville in 2006, where he continues to aid in the struggle against artistic mediocrity.He currently plays bass for noted group Everyday Atlas, a Nashville-based touring act quickly gaining national exposure.Coming soon to a town near you!
