I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

From the eternal ecclectics that brought Utica the infamous VBLP's ( Virgo Bat & Leo Phrog's ), the TRAMONTANE is the latest incarnation of the spirit from the original endeavor that started out in a little dumpy dive on Columbia St in 1999, which then migrated to a larger ramshackle building on lower Genesee Street in 2001, and unfortunately met an untimely screeching halt to it's operations in early 2003. After a year or so the founding members and a few of their friends decided to re-group and start working towards a new version of the original vision, and after much hard work and determination the TRAMONTANE finally opened it's doors to the citizens of Utica and beyond on January 11th 2008. The establishment is proud to have with us an amazingly talented and dedicated group that we consider partners in our success: Robin Raabe, Melissa, Anthony, Heidi, Harley, Lauren and owner Garrett Ingraham. The entire TRAM crew owe many thanks to all who believe in the value of what they are accomplishing. The cafe aims to be a comfortable sanctuary where all feel welcome, and takes much joy in bringing a wealth of great food, outstanding beverages, super-yummy desserts, and a sense of community to all it's patrons, as well as being a source for a wide variety of entertainment and a home to local and traveling musicians. Open Mon-Tues 7:30 am - 4 pm. Wednesday 7:30 am - 11 pm. Thursday - Friday 7:30 am - Midnight. Saturday 5pm-Midnight. Sunday 5pm-11pm. Open Mic every Sunday: signup sheet available @ 5pm, timeslot selection @ 6:45, open mic starts at 7 pm sharp. 15 minute slots, pretty much anything goes! Any Questions call (315) 732-8257!!!!!!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Those with an affinity for having multiple options in frequenting uniquely colored and interestingly flavored non-establishment style enterprises that generally reject corporate cookie-cutter conformity. ( America should RUN F R O M DUNKIN'!!! ) The Tramontane, or "TRAM" serves all ages, all socio-economic status' are welcomed equally, and the staff here try their darndest to foster a warm and inviting creative space for all with open minds and an eagerness to engage! The Tram bills itself as "Utica's 4th Best Coffeehouse" as it's partners don't tend to see themselves as the types to claim there's to be the "it" place, nor would they want the pressure associated with such a decree!
