About Me

It's been over a year for me on Myspace, and it has been a good year. Not so much because of myspace, but it's nice to have it. I did the trip of my life (so far) and went to Africa and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro! I love to climb, and I have climbed lots of mountains here in Oregon and in Colorado where I have family. Not so much in Ohio, even though I have family in Ohio, I find it hard to find mountains to climb :o) But I love Oregon. Portland is my home and I'm into her sports teams (yes I just called Portland a her). I have gotten back into listening to NPR (National Public Radio) and I'm trying to know more about the world and stuff like that(wow that was a smart moment "know more about the world and stuff?!?" Man I hope I don't start talking about my education now, that would look bad). I went to Portland State, but I'm not done learning, even if I can't spell ;o)

My Interests

Music:

What's music? I have lots of old radio shows, do they count? What about Ace of Base? I like music if you can make a Portland Trail Blazers video to it :o) From time to time, I even have been known to like good music.

Movies:

The cartoon Transformers movie is bad but I like it. But if I was asked "what's John's favorite movie" I would say Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan. I saw the new Transformers movie 5 times in the theater! But I'm into lots of action, sci-fi, comedy, and lots of other kinds of movies. Star Wars is a good movie.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV now, just WWE Raw and WWE SmackDown. Smallville from time to time. I loved the old comedy Night Court, Get Smart, cartoons like Transformers (G1), Danger Mouse, Thundercats, and the sci-fi show Quantum Leap, Doctor Who (my favorite was the fifth Doctor), Star Trek.

Books:

Nevada Barr is so cool, I have read almost all of her books and if you have not read her work, do it! You will like it, or at least I think you would. Mick Foley can wrestler but his books are good so I like to read them. I have read Star Wars, Star Trek and Doctor Who books, but I like to read history books as well as anything on Oregon.

Heroes:

Kyle Rayner as Ion or Green Lantern it's all about Kyle, Superman, The Creeper, Jonna Hex or any other DC comic superhero, Ira Hayes, FDR, MLK Jr, my parents (Wayne & Tasa), and my friends for having to put up with me
