MySpace LayoutsI'm very lucky as I have a good life, a great family and fantastic friends - the family I choose. I live in a lovely spot overlooking the river and the mountains just a few miles from the sea in West Waterford, Ireland. Life has been colourful and varied and I have had many jobs but my main vocation has been performance and media including being a professional actor, singer/songwriter, photo Journalist, magazine editor....I could go on but you get the idea! I love to travel and have been lucky enough to do a good bit of it, especially in the past year. I love meeting people, there are so many wonderful characters out there and I have been fortunate enough to befriend many of those whose path I have crossed in the seventeen years I have been in Ireland.I came here from UK when I was twenty for a weekend to visit some very dear friends, Jo & Warwick and their beautiful baby girl Chantelle. I stayed with them for about a year, infact they moved out of the house before I did! I had known these wonderful people from the age of thirteen. I met them while at theatre school in england. They were guardians to my best friend and her sister whose rock star father and model mother were living in the U.S, forced to be based there by their work (I was fortunate enough to visit them in the Californian desert when I was fifteen). Anyway, sixteen years on and I'm still here! Warwick, an incredibly talented songwriter, sadly passed away in April 2006.Having been surrounded by and involved in music for most of my life I do tend to have a passion for it, particularly live bands...I just love a good gig! Some of my closest friends are musicians and a colourful bunch they are too! I'm just taking over the bookings and PR for a fantastic Cork based band who go by the name DeBurca, and I'm confident they will go far so keep your eye on them. You'll find them on my space so take a listen to some of they're material, and if your fortunate enough to get to see them play live, you'll be blown away! I'm also going to be doing doing PR for a fantastic new recording studio, Claycastle Recording Studio in Youghal, Co. Cork, and band 'Claysoul', who are also on my space MUST be listened to - the production on their latest EP 'Circle' is incredible. I went back to college recently. I've had been out of education for 18 years, but at 36 years old I decided I wanted more! I'm currently just about to complete my first year of a two year course Studying radio Broadcasting and I'm loving it. Working on and off as a News Journalist in a radio station in Cork called 96fm. Have also produced the morning show on their sister station C103. Of course we have to present our own shows on college radio too which is great fun. What else? Oh pets... I have many... three dogs, a cat, a cockatiel, a king parrot and three gold fish named fish, chips & mayo...although they're not gold at all...probably not goldfish then eh!? I've rambled on enough so I'm going to go and finish my glass of wine now. Later.... LJ x
