Icky & Ookie Awards

And the Icky & Ookie goes too...

About Me

This is a horror movie award site.ABOUT THE ICKY & OOKIES: The Icky & Ookie Awards have been going on for...this will be the seventh year. The nominees are announced on October 1st and the winners on October 31st. The nominees don't have to be from the past year (though they usually are). If I've never seen the movie before this year, it's up for nomination. All nominees and the winners are decided by ME.I appreciate that many people will disagree with my choices and I respect their right to do so, as long as they respect my right to disagree with them...they're still decided by ME.I hope that we will have many respectful discussions about the merits and drawbacks of each nominee, past and present. As long as everyone understands that it's all up to ME.Horror movies cannot be summed up as one thing. They can be scary, disturbing, political, funny, suspensful...the best incorporate several of these qualities. Of course this diversity can make it difficult to determine "What is a horror movie". That's why there has to be a deciding voice on who is eligable for nomination...That's ME.

An American Haunting...Not a bad little movie. I was a little disappointed just because I had such high expectations, but it's certainly better than most of the PG-13 tripe that's coming out lately ("...

Into the past...Part 2: The Terror Continues

PROM NIGHT...WOW, this was the low point of Jamie's horror career. I really liked this movie when I was younger. Now, I can tell that it's an overly dark bore that would really only be maybe an hour l...
