SOLO SOW

SOLO SOW from Guinea, West-Africa, is living more than 20 years in Berlin, Germany. Here he starrs in different formations as a singer, trumpet-player and percussionist (Bongos, Shakare, bells and many more).
In 1999 SOLO SOW founded one of the best African percussion bands in Europe: KONKOBA. They played all over Germany at big festivals such as (Chiemsee Reggaefest, Afrika-Fest Würzburg, Potsdam etc.), France (St. Brieux), The Netherlands (Delft).
During the Worlcup 2006 SOLO SOW and Konkoba had 15 concerts for the FIFA to entertain the VIP-guestand media before an after the games, as well as during the final in Berlin.
With the dancefloor version from IKO IKO (in Guinea known as MAFUDIYA) SOLO SOW and KONKOBA had great succes and gained a record contract with Cap Sound.

SOLO SOW aus Guinea, Westafrika, lebt seit mehr als 20 Jahren in Berlin. Er tritt in den unterschiedlichsten Formationen als Sänger, Trompeter und Percussionist (Trommeln) auf. 1999 gründete er die Band KONKOBA, die auf allen großen Festivals in Deutschland (Chiemsee Reggae Summer, MASALA), Frankreich (Saint Brieux), Holland (Afrika-Festival in Delft) mit ihren mitreißenden Rhythmen für Furore sorgte.
2006 tourte SOLO SOW mit KONKOBÁ für die FIFA durch die deutschen Stadien, um den VIP-Zuschauern der WM 2006 einzuheizen. Zur Zeit arbeitet SOLO SOW an einem Einzelprojekt, indem er afrikanische Musik mit eurpäischen Einflüssen verbindet. Das Ergebnis ist pulsierende Tanzmusik, Afro-Pop at it..s best!
