Sea is Gabriela Dinca, born on 22nd of March, in 1987. Growingup by the shores of the Black Sea has developed her sensitiveside and so she became an young lady full of dreams andimagination, willing to conquer the world through the elecronicmusic. By saying that, she grew up on the electronic rhythms,starting with new age. ENIGMA was the begining of her discoveries, beingthe guidance to this journey full of fascination. Captured underthe influence of great artists such as Mike Oldfield, Jean-Michel Jarre, Vangelis, her wish was to follow a music schoolsince a fragile age, but her parents did not agree. Still, atthe age of 15 she decided to apply for the Art Highschool,despite of the family expectations.
Her talent was discovered first by a very influential choirdirector, who encoureged her to follow this path. Sea started tostudy music seriously and took piano lessons, music's theory,composing, jazz history and singing lessons, as well as manyothers. During 4 years she has been a part of one of the bestchoirs of Romania, implied in many activities such asinternational contests and festivals.
One year later, at 16 years old, she met a famous married coupleof opera singers that were about to change her life. Madeleineand John Pascu became her mentors, her inspiration and preparedGabriela for her future on the OPERA stage. They introduced herto other opera singers of the National Opera of Constanta andBucharest.
For about 3 intensive years of study in her mentors' studio, atthe age of only 19 years old she touched the level of a grown upvoice of Lirical Soprano and going to Dramatical Soprano. Herpowerful voice was a promising start for this career, but herold dreams did not include following next theConservatory.
Though she was really apreciated at national concerts in hercity such as those on the Italy's day, where she performed soloarias by Puccini, Mozart and Verdi, she realised at the beginingof the summer of '05, that her true call was to become aDJ.
In the summer of 2005, she had the great oportunity to meetMarkus Schulz, which was an amazing experience, confirming herstrong desires for becoming a music producer.
Starting with the first appearence on ETN.fm by the support ofDavid Emonin, she became a resident dj at Dreamscapes show onthe Progressive Channel, enchanting every month people from allover the world with her ambient sets.
Since Gabriela's scene name was starting to grow she decided toapproach different styles and so in 2006 on DI.fm Sea hadProgressive Breaks mixes broadcast. Presently, Sea's style is Tech-House, which can be recognized atartists like Sasha, Stephan Bodzin, John Digweed, Gui Boratto,James Holden, Guy Gerber and many others.
Meantime, another passion of Sea's since childhood, Visual Arts(Photography), has been remarked by the CoverGirl Agency fromUS, that has been followed by an one year contract. Sea'smessages and feelings can be found not only in music, but alsoin her photo artworks. In this way, she's always trying tocreate a syncretism of arts (vision and sounds).
