Random Allusion is combination of four elements which found the way to combine each personality, humor, feeling, technique, illusion and allusion in a single symbiosis. Those four elements are:
Aldo Garcia: Aldo is always interested in knowing something. It doesn't matter if he asks the question a thousand times. He will try until he gets the answer. The three bands that affect him the most are Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Opeth. He is a metal head. His favorite pastime is playing guitar like a maniac (John Petruccis sweeps are a bitch!!). Aldo plays very technically and precise. He enjoys trying to find out what time signature is some band playing in or just hearing David Gilmour bend the freaking string!
Marco Pimentel: Marco is very quiet man and he keeps to himself a lot, but that doesn't mean he doesnt enjoy talking to people. Actually, if you ever start a conversation him you will find that he has a lot of good stuff to say. He is a perfectionist in his playing as well as his sound. His influences are many as well, but some that stand out are Days of the New, U2, Rush, Cryptopsy and many, many more. He is an accomplished Graphic Designer and he is responsible for the visual looks of this page as well as the CD cover design. Marco's hobbies are looking into World War 2 history and anything related to it. He enjoys his friends company a lot.
Javier Arriaga: Javier started at young age of 5 banging along with Van Halen and Black Sabbath records. He continued developing and played with many bands and found a lot of influences. Some of them would be Rush, Dream Theater, Meshuggah, U2, etc. He is always wanting to improve his technique. He also took affection for playing guitar and piano. He is outgoing and a businessman. He finds inspiration in reading and writing in all kinds of fields. He enjoys the company of others very much although he is very private. His passion is music because of the universal effect it has on people and himself. He currently studies music at the university as he pursues his life long dream of really becoming a complete musician.
Brian Fausnaugh: Brian is a very passionate person born and raised a metal head, specially when it comes to music. He has a German last name, yet he speaks none. He eats, sleeps music and drinks beer a lot!!! (smoking too huh?, Faros was it?). His musical journey started at the early age of 10 with Tool and Deftones (Brian is very young by the way and he is a badass musician already). He started playing when he was 14 to bands like tool and deftones, but then he discovered death metal(like most of us) and he went to the dark side, but his musicality does not end there. His musical influences varies from diecide, deftones, old metallica, uriah heep, lamb of god, shadows fall, meshuggah, necrophagist among others. He is a very quiet guy, but very focused. He joined Random Allusion not too long ago and he is already a primary component of its music and journey.
Dallas: Dallas has recently come into the picture by listening to the band at a gig. He really likes what the band's direction is wanted in on it. His influences are Tool, In Flames, Opeth to name a few. He has been playing guitar for about eight years and doing vocals for 2 1/2 years. His energy fires the band up and they recently got to experience that at the audition. He has stepped up to the plate and in his own words: "cant wait to get on the goddamn road in support of our upcoming album!!" Watch for Random pretty soon as Dallas will bring a new side to the band.
Random Allusion started in July 2004 with Marco and Javier getting together and wanting to do something very different from what they had done before. Aldo came into the fold and Brian completed the circle. Random's first album "The Empty Paradise" established what the band's vision always was: make great music. It created a lot of buzz within their hometowns and started to get played in radio stations. Dissapointed with local promoters they decided to start their own company "Empty Paradise Productions" and with it they went on to create live shows accompanied by local talent, displaying what a real show should be like. Their latest album is in the works and it promises to be the very best they have done so far. Bringing all elements into the fold with punishing grove and technique. They plan to go into the studio this summer for hopeful FALL release. Until then, catch them at a show and experience " The Empty Paradise" with new vocalist Dallas!
