About Me

pickles and cake, together at last. i like creating aliases and taking pictures and talking about architecture and the public space avenger. i intend (but usually fail) to go to farmer's markets and eat lots of veggies, and i dig crazy late-night mob bicycle rides. i kill plants, even cacti, which is depressing. i love my cranky old glamorpuss catface. i make good vegan cookies.i am back in east hollywood where old armenian men smoke and spit on the street corner, killer thai food is a block away, and i wait for the bus with german tourists, goth latino kids, and ancient black transvesites. for the last nine months i lived in a shockingly white county that's part redneck cowboy, part wine connoisseur, part eco-hippy. i used to wait for rose my morning bus-driver with underage smokers or recent convicts and could see the stars at night, then we moved south 8 miles and lived above a creek and steps from downtown at the same damn time. genius.

My Interests

photography. architecture. bicycling. comic strips. bright colors. real food, mexican soda, cheap german wine. grocery stores. saying theengs wheet an outRAGEous freench accent. avenging public space. naps. trying to speak spanish. other people's crafts. not driving. my cat. and fighting the man.

Music:

deep voices, clever lyrics, lots of instruments, rhythm, bebop, crazy people, soul, really excited music. and i want to be tom waits. i miss the terrible K Jug, the country station in SLO. why?

Movies:

i will watch almost any movie. but no porn. one must have limits.

Television:

i am scared of tv's power and we don't have one. but i do like house, heroes, bones, felicity, firefly, weeds. anything on public TV. jeopardy.

Books:

starting now, it's gonna be a lot of planning hoohah. magazines (gq, ready made, natl. geo.), comics, miss manners' guide to excruciatingly correct behavior. right now: ksr's final of three on climactic climate change.
