About Me

I grew up in Juneau and after spending a couple of years in college and such down in Oregon, I have returned. I work at the SOB (the State Office Building) doing what I always swore I would never do. However, I really think that God has a sense of humor and everytime that we say "I'll do anything but..." He says "Well, that's exactly what I had in mind!" Thanksfully, however, His plan always does end up being much greater than what I had come up with in my head.

I love to travel and I am rather thankful that my job gives me the opportunity to do as much traveling as I can afford. I try and spend as much time as possible in Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua, where some of the most amazing kids that I know live in an orphanage down there.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I love catching up with old friends...and new friends...

Home Again

Uruguay

Well, I am now sitting in Montevideo, Urugauy.  It has been a bizarre couple of days, but fun, just the same. I left Puerto Iguazu with the couple that I met on the canopy/repelling tour.  T...

The End of the Earth

I have looked off the end of the earth and into the devil's throat.  I realize that sounds a bit extreme, but it's true.  Allow me to explain. I am in Puerto Iguzaú, the Argentinian side of ...

The Magic of Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is amazing.  It truly does feel like I'm wandering around a city in Europe rather than South America, but at the same time, there's almost something magical about it. This morning I ...

Well, I´m sitting in the Santa Cruz airport awaiting my flight to Buenos Aires.  It turns out that my 10:00 flight wasn´t actually scheduled until after 2 and it´s delayed beyond that as well, so...

A Slow Week

A Change in Plans

So, the problem with being sick last week, aside from being absolutely miserable, is that I really feel like I missed an entire week of my time here in Bolivia.  It didn't help that there was a p...
