BEAVERTON, Ore. (September 5, 2006) - At Nike football never sleeps. There is no fourth quarter. No two-minute warning. And in the life of the high school student athlete, particularly each fall when the air turns crisp and stadium lights dot the horizon on Friday nights, football is everything.That is also the message and the name of a new commercial from Nike, "Football is Everything," celebrating football across the country at a time of year when the game shifts into full gear at the high school, collegiate and professional levels. The setting of the new ad is a fictional high school, Briscoe High, but it could really be any high school in America that is consumed with celebrating the game and its team.In the new spot, a follow up to a day-in-the-life of a fictional Briscoe High football player going through preseason two-a-days, the season is kicking off and our student-athlete is grinding through a day of classes leading up to a Friday night game under the lights. His all-star classmates and teammates include professional football greats Michael Vick (Atlanta), LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego), Brian Urlacher (Chicago), Troy Polamalu (Pittsburgh), and Matt Leinart (Arizona).
