LUV YA!I enjoy genealogy and in researching I have found that I am English,Irish,Scottish,Belgian.However,I have German on all sides of my family; German on one side and Pennsylvania Dutch German on the other.**Then recently I found that I have ancestors that were born in Switzerland,
and as far back as I can trace this family,the Patriarch was the last martyr beheaded in 1614 Zurich Switzerland by the Roman Catholic church for his Anabaptist beliefs. Eventually the family moved to Alsace,(the border of Germany and France), lived there for a few generations and finally came to America. Some of the finest wines in the world come from Alsace.I don't think my ancestors were drinking much wine though! Once they made it to the U.S. they helped to settle Lancaster Pennsylvania and were some of the first Minnonite Preachers. Some became Amish, most stayed Minnonite and lived in the Lancaster area their whole lives.***On the Belgian side, I'm related to the famous 50s singing duo, "The Everly Brothers".+++So,that makes me:English, Irish, Scottish, Belgian, German, Swiss and French! So far...LOL What a combo!
