About Me

I was born and raised in SLO, CA (conceived in Mexico, hence the hat), but I live in San Diego now. I'm in my 5th year as a Sculpture major at SDSU, which is rad. I make random shit and only take tests for Art History. I try to ride my bike as much as possible, but some places in SD are just inaccessible/too far and I have to give in and drive. Pretty much my goal in life is to make my sister laugh until she can't breathe anymore.
I wish I could speak every language in the world, including animal languages and music. As of now I am pretty monolingual.
My favorite thing in the world is traveling. I try to go somewhere exotic every year. My favorite places in the world are the south tip of the island of Arran in Scotland, the villa I stayed in in Montelupo, Tuscany, Italy, the Hanakapiai trail in Kauai, and the San Diego Zoo. It's world famous for a reason.

I'm a DJ on KCR (KCRlive.com) Wed 8-10pm. You should listen, if you can. I also love 94.9. I can handle pretty much everything but country and the shitty monotonous "R&B" they play on the radio. Some favorites are: The Sounds, Blondie, Berlin, Belle & Sebastian, Radiohead, The Ramones, Rancid, The Gorillaz, Elliott Smith, old Michael Jackson, The Faint, Weezer, The Mars Volta, the Shins, The Clash, The Cure, Bad Religion, PJ Harvey, The Postal Service, and some Del and Andre Nickatina. I could go on.

Movies:

Tough one. Television:

I don't really like TV, but Planet Earth is the greatest show ever made. I also love Jeopardy and Intervention, but that's pretty much it. Though it's not on anymore, Strangers With Candy will always have a special place in my heart... and my DVD collection.

Books:

I have trouble finishing books, but I've recently devoted more time to it. I love The Virgin Suices, the Bell Jar and Valley of the Dolls. Middlesex is amazing. I mostly "read" books that I can just skim through and learn a few things, like art and architecture stuff. I love just knowing random facts. David Sedaris is hilarious. Short stories are good 'cause they're not too big of a commitment.
