..~~~ "OVERSEER" ~~~ was a Christian-Deathmetal band that was started out of members of a band called Crown of Thorns, About 1993 until 1997. The band members felt that there was'nt enought local christian bands around in the area, playing metal, and no Christian bands playing Deathmetal, Overseer was trying to feel that void of Extreme metal music, that was lacking in the area at that time, but bringing a positive message to the masses, instead of a negative one!!!What we stood for as a band, was that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD and that THERE IS NO OTHER GOD!!!!!!! Then in 1994, we decided to change the name to "DISEASE RIDDEN;" by changing the name we felt that we would apeal to larger crowds, this would also mean a more brutal approach in our music. Sadly in 1997 we called it a day leaving behind alot of memories, and some ghetto demos!!!!The greatest memory for us, was playing in "Deathfest 94" in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, with bands such as: EMBODYMENT, OBLATION, CRIMSON THORN, DISENCUMBRANCE, and of course "our buds," EXTERNAL DECEASE-- thank you guys for the Great Memories!!!!!!!!!!!!
This website is a memorial to "OVERSEER/DISEASE RIDDEN" and for everyone that took part in our efforts. I cannot adequetely express the love and appreciation I have for each former member of OVERSEER and DISEASE RIDDEN, and for all that we shared in friendship and hours of practices and gigs. I will cherish these memories and your friendships always. It is my hope that each of you will honor me by contacting me and staying in touch. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! .....
