I would like to meet as many people as I can before I die. So far, the six degree's of separation have nothing on me. I would say that it is more like two. The circle's of friends that I have are more than amazing and more than coincidental. Fate and karma are two friends of mine. I am a lucky person. When I came back from Colorado about five years ago I still found that most of my friends and acquaintances were still around which is a comfort. Even out there I had ties from DC which was bizarre. I can't wait to tell you the people who I have met. You will laugh. I would definitely like to meet Flea of RHCP. I have been a long long long long time fan. All of them. Since my Lil' skater days. Bad ass Cali boys. I saw them years ago and in DC on the 4th of July on the mall with I think it was Minor Threat and Bad Brains for the Smoke In. I am so bad with years. 87 maybe. Correct me if I am wrong please. I also saw them in Colorado. Big time funk fan. That is who returned me on to John Coltrane and Bukowski. I am guilty of still feeling faint at his funk-isms. I know P-Funk and get to hang out and get on stage with them when they play the 9:30 club. Shout out to Poo Poo Man. Diapers forever! Mike Hampton called me on my birthday and yes I can brag because there is no other funk in the world but the P-Funk. Okay, okay Trouble Funk, EU, Rare Essence, Prophecy, Back Yard, Sugar Bear and Aire Raide. I have been going to all of their shows since I was about 16 not to mention the Oxon Hill Tech Center and firehall shows. It's all bass and drums for me with builds and breaks. I would like to meet Travis Barker. I think that his taste and drumming skills are just crazy mad. Um, let's see. I met Henry Rollins in Colorado. Long time Black Flag and Dead Kennedys fan. I kissed his Einstuesein Neubauten tat. I asked him for his autograph and he was anal. I was taller. Still a fan of his old shit not so much the new political scene he is doing. He is straight edge now but used to sing "Six Pack"? I'm being good I swear. I met Jerry from the Misfits in Colorado. Hung out. I used to skate in empty pools with John Griggley that used to be featured in Thrasher Mag. Big influence on me and I guess I was about 10 or 11. Maybe 12. I met Earl from the Bad Brains show in Colorado. They said out after their performance was done "we'd like to give a shout out to Oxon Hill". I stood up and said "what do you know about some Oxon Hill". They said "listen here little white girl, get on the bus". Duran Duran. I won tickets on WAVA at the Warner Theater when I was in high school in the bathtub no doubt. Big fan. Nick Rhodes was more pale than I am. I was most impressed. I met Brian Setzer twice. Once at 19 at a Hair Salon I was working at and once on my 27th Birthday. Interesting story. I met some of the Rockerfellows. The original 80 year old blokes. I met Jerry Springer and Bo Derek. I have met 7 Dust and hung out with them. I have met Big John Studd the wrestler! John Riggins of the Redskins and Tyrone Braxton of the Denver Broncos. The Harlem Globetrotters. The Bullets. Ron Jeremy. Kissed Merle Haggard on the lips. He smelt like old spice. Chris Simon of the Capital and now the Avalanche. He might be somewhere else now. I used to work for Sugar Ray Leonards family. Not mowing grass so quit laughing. Ha. (I laugh at myself regularly). Chuck Brown, Lil' Benny and Mike and Ju Ju. I really did see Lemmy from Motorhead at a 7-11. I met Nashville Pussy and had beers with the hot bassist. She grabbed my little boobies. Hmmm, this is fun. The Donna's. Troy McMurray winner of the 2001 X games. Sigh. He's on Dave Mirra's (he is not only mad styley but very nice to look at) video game which I think is cool. He is an amazing Dirt Rider. Or should I say "crazay"? This place called the "V" was just incredible to watch he and his friends. No brakes!!!!!!!!!!!! When I moved out there my friends had friends already in Colorado. I went to this warehouse and it is like heaven. They had a few couches around, a couple of kegs, a full on inside pipe, a 1/4 pipe, and a bunch of Bad Brains tags all around and up in it. Ahhh... Johnny Knoxville was at the Black Cat. He bought me a beer. All of my friends are stars. I'm not a groupie. Just damn near lucky. I like pretty much everyone - until they give me a reason not to. Cool Disco Dan. I would like to meet Travis Pastrana to give him a big pat on the back for his double flip. He lives down the road. Foam Pit City. Mike Baringer. Ryan Nyquist. Troy is the sickest I have ever seen in my life. I love it. TJ Lavin. Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, The Peraltas - especially Powell, Andy McDonald, Steve Caballera, Mike McGill, Tony Alva, Bob Burnquist, Nash, and all of my little girl crushes. And new one's like Bam and Wee Man is an ultimate favorite. I feel like a teenager and I'm a Mom. . I would love to start an after school skate and bike park for intercity kids here in DC. I would make it worth their wild but they would have to stay in school, get good grades and stay outta trouble as hard as it is. If they did, I would find a sponsor to have them earn points to get gear and bikes, trucks, bearings, grips etc.
