1986: started the first acid-jazz styled band, Diana Brown and the Brothers, which went on to form the nucleus of the Brand New Heavies, The Young Disciples and Galliano. Although I was the original driving force of most of these bands, I signed a separate deal with London Records, with A&R Pete Tong as Diana Brown and Barrie K. Sharpe. Toured the world several times with a 15 piece band.
1987: toured with Bobby Bird and Vicky Anderson. Supported them on tour as Brothers International.
1989: had the first acid-jazz style major music release and hit world-wide with Masterplan. Had a string of hits after this. This style of music also took off in L.A and New York.
1990: left Diana Brown and started Early Mac Productions. Releases You Shouldn't Lie on Indo-China record label.
1994: signed to Minimal Records New York with Arthur Baker and wrote Love in Return that was released all over the world, reaching the Top 100 in England. Remixed by Eric Kupper, Faze Action and Kevin Fisher.
2000: after having a club hit with speed garage recording of Masterplan, started recording again seriously, mainly experimental. From this I have created a unique sound in the form of lounge-garage.
At the moment I am working with singers and writing lots of dance-instrumental. Currently setting up new record label, dianabrownproject
