I am from France, though i am capable of speaking fluent English, albeit with a strong accent. My name comes from the French phrase fleur de la cour, meaning "flower of the court" or, according to J. K. Rowling, "noblewoman."I am actually partly non-human. Due to the heritage of my Veela grandmother, almost all boys are immediately awestruck when they see me, and i'm able to make myself almost irresistible temporarily.I studied magic in Beauxbatons, though i was one of the competitors in the Triwizard Tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on my last year and spent most of it in Hogwarts. I often complained about Hogwarts throughout the book, particularly in relation to the food, while raving about my own school. I was very outspoken against the idea of Harry becoming the fourth champion, insisting that he was too young. No other champions said anything at all, including Harry.I has a little sister named Gabrielle who was about seven as of The Goblet of Fire. It was my job to rescue her during the second task of the Triwizard Tournament, but i failed. Harry chose to rescue Gabrielle for me (not that the girl was likely to have been in actual danger) and i, badly shaken by the event, became much warmer to him and to Hogwarts in general afterwards.I came in last in the Triwizard Tournament, but as it was being so heavily manipulated by Barty Crouch Jr. it will probably never be known how good a champion i really was.
