I am involved with at ALC the International Connections Ministry (helps people from other countries) at my church.
I am part of a fantastic gospel choir called 'United Voices Concert Choir' where I worship and sing tenor. I first heard 'United Voices' during the Summer of 2006 and was very impressed with their heart for worshipping the Lord, the high standard that they sang gospel music, and the fact that they minister in the community. I have made somewonderful friends in 'United Voices' and know I am divinely favoured to have the honour of singing with them. I lookforward to every practice and event the choir is involved with.
I also act as the UK Co-ordinator for Dare To Dance including generating and organising customised job descriptions for the staff and volunteers based in England; responsible for the planning, maintenance and development of conferences in that area; hiring of all England based instructors; organizes and oversees administrative activities and systems that support and facilitate the smooth running of the company.
I have a number of other interests including: water-colour painting; local history; soul and classical music;information technology; mountain biking; and rugby. Last but by no means least I love been with friends, especially ones from choir, church and work.

Stuart's A-Z of Soul, Rare-Grooves and Jazz-Fusion
A is for:
- Atlantic Starr and "Don't take me for granted" from their 1987 album "All In The Name Of Love". I think this wasAtlantic Starr at their best. A really cool slow song with lyrics from the heart. Also from 1987 is the sensitive"All inthe name of love" and the catchy love song "Always". Or how about "Silver Shadow", "Secret Lovers", "When lovecalls" and"Touch a four leaf clover" from 1986.
- Patti Austin and songs like the chilled"Through the test of time", up tempo "Anything can happen here" and "Heat ofheat", and the old-skool disco hits "Do you love me?" and "Razzamatazz"
B is for:
- Babyface. What a prolific and talented singer and song-writer Babyface is. I loved the infectious melody and rythmin"I love you babe" from the 1987 album simply called "Lovers".
- Anita Baker and her mega-popular albums like "Compositions", "Giving you the best that I got", "Rapture", "RhythmofLove" and "Songstress". A stand-out track for me is the sultry "Feel the need" from the 1983 album "Songstress".Listento Anita at her best singing "Sweet love", the album title track "Giving you the best that I got", "You bring mejoy","Caught up in the rapture" and "Same ole love".
- Former Atlantic Starr diva Sharon Bryant. She released a great solo album in called "Here I am" after departingthegroup and one of the tracks I really enjoy is the slow number "Falling".
C is for:
- Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal's "Saturday Love"(1986) and "I never knew love like this" (1987). Lots of peoplethoughtincorrectly Cherrelle and Alexander were an "item". That might be down to the passion they sang their duets. Bothhadimmensely successful albums in the 80s but my favourite songs are when they joined forces.
- the "unforgettable" Natalie Cole. But rather than wax lyrical about her well known hits I have to highlight songslikethe latin-rythmed "La Costa". It just makes you want to book a vacation to a tropical destination right now! Oralternatively the beautiful song "Snowfall on the Sahara" and hearfelt "Split decision".
- the incredibly talented Randy Crawford. She has an amazing portfolio of wonderful songs and I don't think she evergotthe acclaim she rightly deserves. I never tire of hearing her 1986 track "Don't wanna be normal" from her successfulalbum "Abstract Emotions". Of course she is more famous for her songs like "You might need somebody", "Rainy nightinGeorgia", "Secret Combination", "Trade Winds" and the huge 1986 hit "Almaz".

- Soul diva Thelma Houston and rich dance tracks like "You Used To Hold Me So Tight" from 1984's "Qualifying Heats".
- The absolutely deluxe voice of Miki Howard . Miki is one of my favourite female vocalists yet she isrelatively lesserknown than others. The songs "Come Home to Me", "Come share my love" and "You've changed" demonstrate her fantasticvoice
