I am here for Friends

About Me

Hi!! My name is Nora, but most people call me mom. I have a 15 year old daughter, who thinks shes 21. I also have 13 year old boy/girl twins, who keep me on my toes. After they were born I did not plan on having more kids so I was both surprised and blessed when Alyssa came along. She is now 3. Obviously, having 4 kids leaves little time for much else, so when I am not being the best mom I can be to them I work as a District Coordinator for a demo company and also part time for an airline. I love my work. I also do a little web site design on the side, which keeps me smart and gives me some extra money. I love the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. My ideal life would be to live in a cabin up at the Grand Mesa- I would be a famous author and I would sit at the lake all day with a pen, paper and fishing pole. I am pretty sure that will never happen but I continue to fish a lot and write a little- and will be happy to just get published anywhere someday!! I am pretty simple and laid back.. but can be crazy at times (who isn't??). I also love the ocean. I could sit on any beach and stare at the sea for hours and be perfectly content. That's me in a nutshell..... This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Remember when... Decisions were made by saying "eeny-meeny-miney-moe." Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "DO OVER!" Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in monopoly. It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends. Being old, referred to anyone over 20. The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties. Nobody was prettier than Mom. Noone was cooler than Dad. It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the fair. When you were finally aloud to sit in the front seat of the car. When playing nintendo was the hardest thing ever. When ninja turtles ruled the world. When getting high was swinging on the swingset at the playground. The only cuts you had were paper cuts. The most depressing thing, was when you dropped your dum dum lollypop or your popsicle on the ground and ants started crawling all over it. When $5 seemed like a million, and another dollar a Miracle. Your mom was your hero and your worst enemies were your siblings. When you went to school, you didn't want your mommy to leave. Wanting to wake up early saturday mornings to watch cartoons. Race issues were who ran the fastest. You were so excited you could ride your bike without training wheels. Freak dancing was just dancing to backstreet boys in your living room like a nerd. War was a card game. The only drug you knew of was cough medicine. Wearing skirts didn't mean you were a slut. The only thing you smoked was the tires on your bike. It was mean to call someone an idiot. When your mom would call your friends for you and ask if they could come out and "play." The only thing that hurt was skinned knees & the only things that can get broken were your toys. Scrapes and bruises were kissed and made better. Life was simple and care free, but remember what you wanted the most was...wanting to grow up.
