About Me

Born in Coventry, spent much of my younger years studying in Solihull. At age 17 I moved away from home and throughout the following years lived in London, Hull, and Leeds before returning to Coventry. These eight years were highly influential, completing a college course in Media, a degree in Media Production, modeling and some involvement in theatre productions. Whilst working with the Northern Theatre based in Hull I found employment in a traveling dance company, providing choreographed shows to nightclub audiences across the country. Dance wise, worked on a number of club shows and theatre productions including Carwash (Hull, Blackburn, Birmingham, Watford, Leeds, and Sheffield) and Palace Of Fun / Sorted For Saturday (Leeds) both owned by The Town And Country Club in Leeds. That was a long time ago though! More recently Danced off and on for Ikon (Coventry) and DV8 (Birmingham) as well as a few fashion shows and photo events.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Although I began writing with friends during my childhood, recently I have found peace in writing alone. The last and third album 'The Ground Beneath You' included collaborations with Ben Campbell (Depot studios, Coventry) and Paul Morrell (Ikon, Glasshouse, Coventry) and had 3 tracks covered by local vocalists. _________________________ Looking highly probable that the 2006 mix of my tune 'Never Off My Mind' is about to be released on a large independant Dance/Trance label. The track originally appeared on 'The Ground Beneath You', but has been re-remixed by Paul Morrell and features vocals by Jess Palmer, Will keep you posted. _________________________ 'The Ground Beneath You' was predominantly a pop based dance 10 track album. After spending a couple of years joining the rat race, Ive decided to collaborate with some new DJs, Vocalists and Producers, bringing a new edge to my work, I plan to co-produce popular dance tracks with meaningful and intelligent lyrics. I am choosing to use the talents of various Artists/Vocalists from the Midlands, collaborating with a selection of producers and musicians to allow a diverse amalgamation of musical styles. Funky, Electro, Speed Garage, House and Ambient. ______________________ The forthcoming 11 track CD 'Behind Closed Doors' already looks like the most promising musical venture I have been involved in so far.
Influences: At home I listen to and am lyrically inspired by artists like Kate Bush, George Michael, Madonna, Mario, Joni Mitchell, Usher, Neyo, Tears For Fears and other writers/performers with great lyrical ability. Although my real love is Dance music, especially House and Speed Garage, quite a mix I guess! lol Also like to chill to artists like Tori Amos, Eddie Reader, Sarah McLachlan, and Bjork just cos they write intelligent lyrics outside the norm. My last CD (The Ground Beneath You - 2003) borrowed musically from my love of progressive dance, trance and ambient music, but also engaged an 80s feel.
Sounds Like: Hate this question.... cant really answer it, last CD was more Pop and Dance than anything else. New stuffs a bit more underground, cant wait to get some new tracks on here.... Cranton
