At the tender age of 6, Dave Manna began to explore the wonderful world of sound by banging on his parents very expensive set of pots & pans. The journey had begun. This method of “playing the drums†was Dave’s way of showing everyone what he had installed for the future. Through his teen years, Dave continued his love affair with music, listening to his parent’s old vinyls of different music styles from classic rock to disco & learning to play the guitar and piano. But after buying his first set of turntables, Dave began to display & share his love of music through deejaying. Deejaying at parties & clubs, Dave was able to express his love of music to the general public. Dave didn’t stop there however, he now wanted to make his own music and further share his love of music – his way!
Dave’s exploration into sound, rhythm & music had him discovering that at such a young age he had a passion for music that has now become his life – a journey where Dave is always exploring new sounds and pushing the boundaries in both his deejaying and production skills.
Having toured around Australia with a string of releases under his belt, his DJ style is totally reflective of his attitude towards his productions; rather than dedicating to one style or genre of music & following trends, Dave likes to keep his sets as varied as possible, playing a span of music, from Electro, Progressive to Minimal House with a hint of soft trance tones which leads to Dave creating new music trends.
Currently, Dave Manna is dedicating most of his time in the studio, producing high quality tracks. His plans for 2009 / 2010 are very promising; in which his collaboration’s with Marco Demark is one to be on the lookout for. Their latest remix for “Albin Myers – Times Like These†and “Syke & Sugarstarr – Ticket To Ride†are 2 club killers set to destroy dance floors around the globe and amass fans world wide.
Dave’s list of his remix work for international big name artists grows bigger and bigger by the week! Some of the artists Dave has completed remixes for include: Albin Myers, Syke & Sugarstarr, Marco Demark, Nicola Fasano, The Stafford Brothers, Craig Obey, John Morely, J Wess & Anthony Callea. These are just a few artists who want the special Dave Manna treatment for their releases. It is abundantly clear that Dave Manna is in high demand and in the top league of the international dance scene.
In upcoming months, Dave will release a string of remixes & original releases not to mention collaboration with vocalist Pete Millwood on a record called “Release The Powerâ€. Keep a look out for his touch on Marco Demarks “Can You Feel It†already doing its rounds on German Heavy weight label’s Compilation “My House My Musicâ€.
Dave Manna is a DJ/ Producer/ Singer/ Songwriter who continues to push musical boundaries to the limit in a scene he is so passionate about. From playing and producing music, inventing his own distinctive sound, remixes and original productions, to performing live, it can all be summed up in three words, which Dave has uniquely tattooed on his arm, “music is lifeâ€.
So what’s next you might wonder…. Keep a look out!
