Born and raised David Mayers in Northeast, Washington DC, David Mayers fell in love with the craft in elementary school. He adopted the name Cayan and produced numerous mixtapes over industry beats. His witty lyricism and presence gained him acclaimation from his listeners. In his first studio mixtape, District of Caylumbia, Cayan looks to prove himself as a prominent figure in the DC music scene. "I want to show not only my versatiliy as an artist, but I wanna stand out from all the other youngins that feel the need to rap all of a sudden."
