About Me

After a two year stretch in Seattle, I'm back in Atlanta. Seattle is an awesome town. I miss the access to amazing food in the Pacific northwest. Hopefully with a little help, Atlanta will catch up to Seattle on the progressive food scene. I hope to help lead the movement. In June 2007 got my master's degree in nutrition from an awesome school . I like to put on my academic regalia and dance around the room and call myself a master scientist. Be patient, the novelty will wear off soon. You don't have to call me master if you don't want to. I know a lot about food but I never feel like I know enough. I want to know more.Sometimes I do things unrelated to food. I ride my bike . I ride my scooter . I found out last summer that I love triathlons . I'm not really fast. That's okay. You can see so many pictures of me and my life if you click HERE !

My Interests

Food. Learning. Growing. Harvesting. Cooking. Eating. Drinking. It's all about the food. When the food is good and nourishing and the company with whom I share it with is enlightening, all is right with my world.

I'd like to meet:

People who save seeds.

Music:

I have no musical talent. But enjoy the musical talent of others. I especially love being introduced to new music. I generally try to make friends with the people who know and listen to a lot of great music, then let them feel that special feeling that you get when you introduce a friend to something fantastic that they end up loving.

Movies:

I think it has something to do with trying to relate to my Southern Heritage but I really do love Gone with the Wind. Please don't be surprized when I name my first born Scarlett (assuming an X chromosome donation of course). You can roll your eyes if you want to.

Television:

I don't watch TV. For real. I don't. Don't assume that I think I'm above it or think that people who watch TV are bad. The internet is my TV. I'm sure I waste far more time with my laptop than you do with your TV.

Books:

Mmmmmm....I consume books, tasty treats they are.

Heroes:

My parents. It's unoriginal. That's okay. You should meet them. Then you'd understand.
