Music is why I am here, and music is one of the best things in my life--the other parts are my dear husband Blake and my dear friends all over the world. I am as serious and somber and direct as I am silly and outrageous. I make horrible puns--but some people find them amusing. Alcohol helps. I am an English Lit major from Randolph-Macon Woman's College, with minors in Music and French. **WHY TELL YOU ALL THIS? Because where I've been, what I've studied, what my personality is like tells you about the path I've been on, what led me here, and where I am today. Around Richmond and Northern Virginia, I'm known best for singing and playing the cello at the same time and for my obsession with Tori Amos! She is the ultimate performer and artist. One of the highest compliments I ever received was when a reviewer in Style Weekly called me the Tori Amos of Richmond. Another friend calls me the Tori Amos of the Cello...I can only aspire to such a title! Life isn't always easy, and mine hasn't exactly been a bed of roses. However, what I'm thankful for is that I am finally at a place in my life where I can feel comfortable in my own skin. Where I can look myself in the mirror every day and like what I see. I am surrounded by the most loving and most supportive people I have ever known in my life, and I love them and thank the gods for them every day! And I would go through everything again--all the heartache, isolation, and misery from my youth--to enjoy what I have today. That's how I'm feeling tonight, as I write my profile and join My Space for the first time. My website right now is www.holycackle.com.
