Who DJ Lukozade is...
London based DJ... played all over the capital and much of England, made my name playing hardcore/old skool hardcore at parties like Raindance, Moondance, Son of Dance, Back to 92, United Dance, Slammin Vinyl, Vibealite, Helter Skelter etc over the last 8 years. Spent several years broadcasting over Londons airwaves via Addiction 95.2 (RIP) & Eruption 101.3 (which I still pop-up on from time to time).
Always loved all sorts of styles and was one of the first DJ's to start playing breaks alongside old skool hardcore in main rooms at big old skool events like Raindance/Moondance. I still buy a lot of breaks and love the sound but have recently found myself buying a fair bit of house and more specifically electro! Played a couple of sets recently and am starting to fall in love with it... watch this space! Also found it mixes nicely with breaks!
I've produced a few tracks over the last few years with mixed success. Never been particularly prolific but have had tunes released on Quosh, Raw Elements, Lucky Breaks, Back to the Old Skool and a few hardcore tunes on compilation albums; full discography
If you've been about the old skool rave scene you may also have heard of the Isotonik Crew which is a group started by me & MC Ice in 2000 and completed by Perry K about a year later. We've worked together a lot playing at most of the big old skool events and as the Isotonik Crew have always tried to be a little bit different – throwing in whatever we think'll work in an oldskool set; breaks, old house, new house – a bit of outkast! We always do something a bit different and it usually seems to work! We've done a few tunes – Bass Satisfaction, Shhhhh & Love Roots. Only one been released so far ( Bass Satisfaction ). The other two we're just sitting on at the moment, but they always seem to go down well so we may put them out at somepoint.
