Brian J Kunz

About Me

Brian J. Kunz has been writing and recording his solo indie music since 1990. His main instrument is the drum kit used in modern music. However, in the wee hours of the night Brian often becomes inspired to play a variety of other instruments and create a bizarre & eclectic musical voice. Although Brian's instruments he plays in mainstream music are the drum kit and hand percussion, when recording as Zadamenzar, the majority (but not all) of the songs and instrumentals do not include drums. Some other instruments Brian has been playing over the years and can be heard on these tracks include: electric bass, electric & acoustic guitar, piano & keyboards, vibraphone, hand percussion & drums, vocals & other ambient instruments and devices.Brian's first five albums - "Nostalgic Memoirs (Parts 1 - 5)" - have been remastered and are currently in the process of redesign from their original cassettes to newly remastered compact discs. The new CDs will be available as individual releases in the coming months.Brian has also released "Drums With Thumbs" and "Drums With Thumbs 2" in 2006. These are two CDs that are strictly drum solo only releases. Each disc contains drum solos performed by Brian which were recorded live, one-take, spur of the moment drum solos on two separate occasions. It was a session literally recorded on the fly with a "just hit RECORD and let whatever happen... happen".You can order your own copies of any Zadamenzar release on CD by visiting www.zadtrax.com and follow the links to Zadamenzar Music. When not working on his solo music, Brian enjoys collaborating with other local musicians and bands in playing a wide variety of music and venues.
