I can't save you, control is something out of mine

About Me

Testes, testes... 1... 2... 3?!?!?!
Matthew Feltmann is a 28 year old work-in-progress... just a big kid from the recently thriving metropolis (sarcasm) of Prescott Valley, AZ. I'm 6 months into my new job w/ Intel in Chandler, AZ. I'm finally home after 9 long years away!
In the past 3 years I've moved 5 times... trying to find my niche in this nutty world has proven to be an adventure that has taken me to nearly every corner of the globe. I spent 6 LONG YEARS in the US Navy from '97 - '03. Yep, I'm a veteran...so buy me a beer when you see me and I'll tell you salty tales of far away shores where we drank the regional swill, bedded the lusty wenches and plundered as we saw fit.... AAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!! Saw a lot of cool stuff, did a lot of possibly illegal stuff, etc. I suppose I could divulge all that stuff to friends... but keep it on the downlow (or as Boutros Joe says..."keep it on the SHUTTHEFUCKUP!!!") So yeah, I've spent almost the past decade traveling and meeting all kinds of people and finding new ways to keep a dumb kid entertained for more than 3 seconds...
I AM A CONCERT FIEND!!! I LOVE A LIVE SHOW MORE THAN ANYTHING!!! Just about every show leaves me w/ a deeper appreciation for what musicians do and go thru on the road (selling merch and hoping to grab a spot on your living room floor rather than sleeping in a van)... I'm not a big fan of hip-hop/dance clubs... but I can dry hump your leg like it's none of my biznay!!! --- who the hell talks like that??? I am a sports nut...ESPN is my news channel...Fuck off to FOX News, CNN, MSNBC they're all too depressing. If I need to know about world events... I'll let Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert give me the bad news... at least they're truthful!
So how would I describe me as a person??? Ummmm... lots of layers...like ogres and onions I suppose. It's probably best to let you in on some likes, dislikes, tendencies and beliefs... I'm the classic procrastinator... I'll be late to my own funeral (cremation)... which, if my dying wishes are carried out, will be at night time w/ candles, some metal and an open bar! I don't make my bed every morning... I'm a control freak... I'd rather drive than be a passenger... I flare my nostrils when making eye contact w/ a girl I like (nervous habit!)... I'd rather exchange text messages w/ someone for an hour than talk on the phone for 5 minutes... I hate mustard... I don't watch American Idol, yet I have a crush on Kelly Clarkson! (how did that happen?) I think if you talk on your cell phone in a movie theatre, you deserve to be beaten w/ a rubber hose immediately... I order a side of barbeque sauce and ranch dressing w/ just about everything... I believe a t-shirt and a pair of jeans is the perfect gear for nearly any outing... I love my friends - they bring out the best in me... I do South Park and Family Guy impersonations (pretty well I'm told)... I think Requiem for a Dream is a bit overrated... I like a girl who is comfortable in her own skin - doesn't fish for compliments - but l'll tell her she's beautiful every chance I get... My little sister, Kat, is both insanely brilliant and my best friend... I dislike prejudiced people (is that prejudiced of me???)... I think organized religion's main goal is to be a money-making machine that thrives on deceiving us and making us feel guilty for things that happened 2000 years ago and is largely responsible for a good portion of what's ailing the world (priests shouldn't be driving Mercedes E series, touching little kids, telling you what movies you can see, deciding what a woman can and can't do w/ her body, etc.) - I believe in a greater power - but I won't shun someone for not sharing my beliefs... I find myself growing more and more frustrated w/ the people of these "Red" states and their mindless and factless support of an administration that continues to send our young men and women to fight an oil war that W's daddy couldn't finish... they blindly support it, just so long as the troops don't marry each other and destroy the "institution of marriage" or grow up to be a doctor that performs an abortion or stem cell research. That'd be more than their ridiculous "Red" morals could take. I think censorship is the government's way of letting bad parents continue to be bad parents... I think a bowl of cereal tastes best @ 2 o'clock in the morning... and I want to be a great husband and father one day.
Other than all that... I'm just a lovable, John Cusack-ish guy next door.

My Interests

concerts, softball (maybe just the beer after the games though), beach volleyball, traveling (getting completely lost), giving high 5's to random people, holding doors open for strangers, Xbox (I only have NCAA football 2005 and I can kick your arse!), making compilation cd's for folks who'd otherwise have no good music to jam on, working out, eating some grub while washing it down w/ some tasty beers!

I'd like to meet:

The Red Stripe Beer Guy, Jon Stewart, Will Ferrell, Juliya from FUSE (metal goddess!), The Olsen Twins, Dave Chapelle, Oscar the Grouch, Santa Claus (how come you have my mom's handwriting?) Kevin Smith, Bill Murray, Quentin Tarantino, Scarlett Johannson (her voice alone makes my pants fit funny!!!), Maynard James Keenan, Chino Moreno, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, Chris Berman (ESPN), Paige Davis (Trading Spaces on TLC...so hot! Yeah, I watch TLC occassionally...what of it?!?), George W. Bush (wouldn't LIKE to meet him...I just want to tell him that he's the worst president we'll ever have!!!)
