Salvatore Catalano was a Bonanno family caporegime. He was born in 1941 and Immigrated to America from Sicily in 1966. He went to work under capo pietro licata, who controlled the Bonanno territory of Knickerbocker AVE in Little Italy. He himself was promoted to capo following is assasination of Licata. After licatas death, he controlled knickerbocker AVE. and its steady drug trade. Salvatore "Toto" Catalano was imprisioned in 1985 for 45 years, for his involvment in what is know as the "pizza connection"
