! ..To everyone that don’t know this is djsmallz’s my space :Lets start from the beginning ,I first got the name SMALLZ around the times when I first starting hanging around my older brother and his friends. I was the short and rude one. One day my brothers friend just came out with the name smallz. From then on SMALLZ was the name for me and never left my side no mater how old or tall I got and believe me when I say nothing about me is small trust me ……but back to the point. From the age of five I was always interested in records and decks, I was a reggae head. Them days I always tried to play my uncle’s decks. As I got older I was always at my friends house so my interest in mixing got sidetracked. My djing really started when I use to go to my friend KIDS house and he was in a crew called FRIGHT NIGHT. KID and older play (DICKY) were the djs and I was always just the observer watching, listening and when no one was about I always tried to mix but it wasn’t working until KID and play showed me the basics. It got to the point that I would always be at kids house practicing, until bit by bit dicky started to rate my mixes. This boosted my confidence and I started making tapes with fright night crew. As my mixing progressed fright night crew drifted apart, some old and new members came about but we didn’t have a crew name. At this point TRIGA had a speed fighter bike with the number plate 187, he said what about 187 and everyone liked it so we then became the187 CREW. The joke of it was I had no records or decks of my own. I started buying records and dropping hints to my mum that I wanted decks and finally on my eighteenth birthday I was a proud owner of a pair of standard decks which I battered from mixing night and day until I upgraded to a pair of techniques as my mixing became too deep for the old one‘s, ‘which I also battered‘. My hard work started paying off when I got a show on supreme fm (some grave yard shift.) Things was going nice we joined up with spare no1 at this time and we was getting big until management kicked us off because they thought we stole some vinyl’s (why do we need to steal old shit vinyl’s!!!!! LOL). Over the years we made a few mix tapes and made a few appearances on radio stations but that didn’t really work out until we hit ONTOP FM which we have since been on for a year and a half doing a successful, stable set every Saturday from 6-8 and some times we do guest shows. But I’m not stopping there I’m aiming for bigger and better things so check out my page and let me know what u think about my mixing and leave me a comment. Lastly I wanna send big shouts out to Sergeant Stats, Rev (Biiigg miix), Rat g, Big Jim, Dj Dreama, Dread (Joe grind) Gigs, Older Rev (Gidz), Trig, Kid, Gabsie, Nerve, Pac man, J Flows, DPM (dub plate mex), Short Kid Shorter, Bossman, D-nice, Hyphen & Madness and everyone I forgot big urself up and hold tight all the fallen soldiers . I also want to give a Very Very big shout out to RUTHLESS u will never be forgotten as long as I live, RIP . Finally I just want to say to all Dj’s never stop mixing no matter how big u get, always practice all day everyday like I do because the hard work will pay off.
