Supernatural is a one of a kind show. It's kind of like a new horror movie every week it's always something different. It all starts out when the boys are just little Dean's around 4 years old and Sammy is 6 months old. It starts when they were kids growing up in Lawrence, Kansas. It then goes on to where Sam and Dean's mother Mary Winchester is pinned to the ceiling by something Supernatural known as the yellow eyed demon and John Winchester which is Sam and Dean's father hears his wife scream. He runs up the stairs and into Sam's nursery only to see his wife Mary with her stomach split open pinned to the ceiling bleeding. He grabs Sammy and hands him off to Dean telling Dean to take him outside as fast as he could and not to look back. Dean of course did as he said and it's when John walked back into the nursery that Mary burst into flames. After that John started hunting the Supernatural and would leave Dean at home to take care of his little brother most of the time. As kids Dean and Sam grew up very oddly and knew many things about guns and weapons that even adults still dont know. Anyways Dean and Sam were always close until after college when Sam left for college and Dean stayed behind to help his father out. Anyways Supernatural is about 2 boys Sam and Dean Winchester who are off hunting the supernatural. If they find something weird going on or any paranormal activity there they are digging and trying to find out what's going on and how to fix it. Dean which is the older brother by 4 years is really protective of his younger brother Sam. Dean is kind of outrageous and he is a badass kind of rough around the edges guy. Dean does alot of things like credit card fraud and fake ID's and things to get him in a bunch of trouble. In season 1 in the first episode titled "Pilot" we did see Dean get caught for that. Other than that Dean is just your normal tough badass guy. He wont let his feelings show what so ever and now since his father John Winchester has died in the episode of season 2 titled "In My Time of Dying" since his father's death Dean really hasn't broken down. The one episode we did see him shed a few tears in was in season 2 titled "Children shouldn't play with dead things" Anyways on with the storyline I get it....I get it anyways about Sammy unlike his brother he is a sweet, not afraid to let his feelings show kind of boy. He's 4 years younger than Dean and doesn't really remember his mom since he was so young when she was killed. He doesn't have many memories of his mother because of the fact that he was so young when she was killed. Sam looses his girlfriend Jessica Lee Moore in season 1 in the first episode when she is killed the same way that Sam and Dean's mother was killed. After that he picks up and starts hunting with Dean. They are one hell of a team and meet up with their father on rare occasions until the last episode of Season 1 when they basically start working together that is before the accident when Dean almost dies and John makes a deal with the yellow eyed demon they have been hunting so long to save Dean. John gives up the cult which is the only gun that will kill the demon and he also gave up his own life so now once again it's just Sam and Dean. Recently in season 2 Dean revealed the secret to Sam that their father had said if Dean couldn't save Sam from what he was going to become that he was going to have to kill him. Although all of us know Dean and know that he wont allow his brother to turn into what they hunt daily. He wont allow it and we all know that he isn't about to kill his very own brother. That's not Dean.
Dean and Sam use many different kinds of materials to fight spirits and whatever is thrown their way. For spirits in general I believe that rock salt is the most common one for them. Some people even line their doorsteps with rocksalt because it is said that no evil spirits can cross over the rocksalt. For demons possesing people they use the ever famous holy water and read from a book which is better known as an exorsism. I mean they use your general things that you'd use too if you hunted these kinds of beings.
Ah, yes one of my favorite parts of Supernatural, The beautiful and very famous 67' black chevy impala. It is better known as Dean's baby which was totaled in season 1 of the last episode. Even though after the accident you can bet that Dean was right out at Bobby's re-building the whole car. Crazy maybe but think about it would you really let a car like that go? Especially if it was a gift from your father who is now dead? I didn't think that you would. The impala has been through so much but it continues to stay with us season after season, episode after episode. If the impala ever died it would ruin part of the show. I mean think about it can you really picture Sam and Dean Winchester driving a mini van around blasting ACDC with a backseat full of rocksalt, holy water, guns and other weapons? I didn't think so.
As far as interviews go our ever famous star Jared Padalecki better known as Sam Winchester in the CW's series Supernatural he claims he does believe in spirits. He recalls his friends and close pals telling him about their ghostly encounters. So he can truthfully say that he believes in spirits and the Supernatural. That's ok Jared......I do too!
Unlike his on screen brother Sam Winchester AKA Jared Padalecki Jensen Ackles AKA Dean Winchester does not believe in spirits. He thinks there is always an explanation for every thing that goes bump in the night. There may very well be everyone thinks differently right?....
