I live in rural Nova Scotia--a beautiful part of the world. Living here really inspires me. Most of my songs are about relationships, the environment, politics, and personal struggle. I don't know if there is a category for my music, but I think it should be called Basement or at the very least, Partially Finished Basement.
My song, "No Gain," protests the lies and corruption in the Bush administration (and I must say that I finally have some satisfaction now that the Bush regime is out of action.) It's a tribute to Neil Young and Crazy Horse, and features me cutting loose with a rare guitar break on my Strat. It's on Neil Young's "Living With War Today" site (currently at #90). You can also find my song "Dr. Spin" listed on the LWW "Songs Of The Times" list (currently at #105). I'm grateful to Neil for setting up this site of protest songs and I'm honoured to be included on it with so many other artists. I want to thank everyone for their generous support.

When someone gives you music, you can listen to it forever--it's a gift that never gets used up. MySpace is such a great place to hear those hidden gems.
In my previous life I was a photographer in Toronto. I liked doing black and white street photography and social documentary (a la Robert Frank and Gary Winogrand). I also did some music photography - Toronto bands such as The Jitters, The Spoons, Tic Toc, and Scott Merritt. These days photography is a hobby and, as I happen to live in the country, I wind up doing lots of landscape photography. It's a good way to keep in touch with one's surroundings. Please check out my photos.
