The Shape

About Me

Formed in March of 2006, southern CT-based progressive metal band The Shape has crafted a unique sound. Brutal riffs and lightning-fast leads are side by side with haunting melodies and thunderous percussion. Blending the influence of Opeth, Tool, Metallica, In Flames, and Dimmu Borgir and many others, they have created a punishing brand of metal melding together sounds from all over the heavy landscape.
What resulted was an arsenal of compositions including the black metal tinged Eternal Descent, the somber, moody Sleep To Dream, the eclectic rocker City of Ghosts, and the epic 10-minute long The Last Great Awakening (the title track to their upcoming debut independent release).
Relentless. Undefined. Powerful. The Shape is ready to take their music to the masses, promising a punishing aural assault each time out. See you on the road...
