Tek Goes it Alone on His Latest Project Inspired, Love/ Hate
One of the most well known independent producers in Chicago, Tek, breaks out of the realm of producing and into that of singing on his new album, Inspired, Love/Hate. The local tastemaker and producer has been on the New York and Chicago music scene for years and has created a solid foundation upon which to build his latest work of musical mastery. "The album is about two very powerful emotions, you have love, and hate, it's a constant rollercoaster, going back and forth, dealing with the two" explains the producer.
The raw emotion that Tek displays on the new album is not unlike the work of his predecessor Kanye West, a fellow Chicagoan who walks the line between love and hate, and is also a successful producer turned artist. Tek was the genius behind last years popular Club anthem "Bang Until you Pass Out" and "That's that Dude" showing his skill at taking hip hop to the next level, giving it a futuristic and technological new sound.
Tek is a full-time musician and producer who has performed throughout the city, from Buddy Guy's to The House of Blues, and every where else in between. He is currently touring nationwide with 1st & 15th's He Say She Say, a group fronted by Drea and Mano, M.I.A.'s tour DJ. He has worked extensively with Prolyfic, the man behind Lupe Fiasco's Food and Liquor, and also with underground favorites Donnis, Hollywood Holt, and kal!co.
TEK has 10020 10020 friends.
